This offseason there are a few NFL teams that are looking for their next head coach.

The hot name that is floating around the coaching cycle is former Saints head coach Sean Payton.

Payton is one of the top offensive minds in the NFL, and he has experience leading elite offenses.

Even though the market for Payton seems to be cooling down, there should be a few teams available.

Here are two NFL teams that make the most sense for Payton.

Denver Broncos

The one team that seemingly has all the pieces in place is the Denver Broncos.

At quarterback, they have veteran Russell Wilson, who is coming off the worst season of his career.

One thing he needs is an elite offensive mind that can bring back the Wilson of old.

Payton should want to find a team that has a plan at quarterback.

Since they are stuck with Wilson in Denver, the next head coach must make it work.

Also, the defense in Denver is elite.

They have plenty of great players and just need an offense to complement them.

The Indianapolis Colts not only need a new head coach, but they need a new quarterback.

The Colts have no such franchise quarterback on their roster, but they do have draft capital.

Adding Payton means they could use their first-round draft pick on a rookie QB.

Currently, they are selecting fourth overall in the 2023 NFL draft.

One trade-up could put them in a position to draft Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud.

Giving Payton a rookie QB that he could mold seems like a good idea.

The Colts already have a great running back in Jonathan Taylor and a few nice weapons at wide receiver.

Adding the right head coach is all they are missing.
