With two weeks to go in the 2022 NFL season, playoff seeding races are getting hot, and games are approaching playoff-level intensity.

Several teams are fighting to improve their playoff seeding or to simply make the playoffs, which will make several games in Week 17 a virtual must-win for them.

These two games, in particular, have a lot riding on them and should attract the interest of even some more casual fans.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers

There’s nothing like a January game at Lambeau Field, and there are a few things like the classic NFC North rivalry between the Vikings and Packers.

Minnesota is 12-3 and has clinched the division title, but it is hoping to overtake the Philadelphia Eagles for the top seed in the NFC, or at least hold off the red-hot San Francisco 49ers and keep the second seed.

Aaron Rodgers‘ crew, meanwhile, has clawed its way back into playoff contention, and its playoff hopes are still faint at this point, as it will face the surging Detroit Lions in Week 18.

If Green Bay loses to the Vikings, it will likely end up watching the playoffs at home, but it will also want revenge after getting rolled by Justin Jefferson and company in Week 1.

Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals

This Monday night matchup will not only feature two of the best quarterbacks in Josh Allen and Joe Burrow, but it could end up being a playoff preview.

The two teams are separated by one game, and both of them would surely love to finish first in the conference and hold the home-field advantage over Patrick Mahomes‘ Kansas City Chiefs.

Other than that, it will likely be a fun shootout between the teams that rank third and second, respectively, in passing touchdowns.
